“Ethnic” Books – Please, Baby, Please
I need a new title for this series, I HATE writing “Ethnic” everyone is “ethnic.” I don’t want to call in minority, or multi-cultural or … any suggestions?
:All this springs from an article I came across and posted about a few days ago that mentioned that most Early Childhood Teachers couldn’t name books with a non-white protagonist. So I’m working to share examples of Kid-Lit with non-white characters and illustrations.
Please, baby, please is a super fun book full of predictable text and adorable illustrations. It is playful without being cartoon-y.
I could picture moms and dads reading and enjoying the story and laughing along with there pre-schoolers. This book is available in soft cover, hard cover and board book.
Please, Baby, Please by Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis Lee (Yes, that Spike Lee)
