Weekly Photo Challenge: Hidden
You drive a neighborhood every day.
Come home from work, hungry and ready to get dinner on the table.
Your attention is on what needs to get done, not on what is in front of you.
You leave your home early in the morning. Late for work, and in a rush.
Your attention is on calculating the fastest route to work at this time of day and who you need to call to alert them of your tardiness.
But there is beauty hidden in plain sight in your neighborhood. If you will only slow down.
Copper colored peeling tree trunks.
Perfectly shaped ginkgo leaves.
Brightly colored luxurious roses against a grey and brown Midwest November pallet,
A feather the colors of chalk on a blackboard.
Hidden, but not really. Slow down.
